Overview

This £35 million, 776 unit student accommodation scheme comprises of four blocks, the highest being 12-storeys high, with shops to the ground floor level.

Consisting of a lightweight steel/concrete frame with modular panels for the internal skin. Cara Brickwork was awarded the £835k L,P,M package to build the external brickwork façade and masonry support at every floor. The build was completed from mast climbers.

The construction of the ‘City Centre’ building had a few issues to contend with in that the building line was to the site perimeter which required strategic planning of ‘on time’ deliveries.
