Overview
Cara Brickwork were awarded the Masonry package on the Wilburn Basin project, a three-acre site near the River Irwell’s historic Wilburn Street Basin, which was constructed in 1864 and used as a mooring site.
The 4 iconic buildings ranging between 8 and 21 storeys provide 500 apartments with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties. The build consists of a concrete frame with SFS to the internal skin. The external brickwork incorporates 2 different styles of brick with masonry support at every other floor level which was constructed from mast climbers.
