Spanning three decades, Cara’s Utility Services division has played a significant role in driving sustained growth for the Group. Our dedicated management team has consistently excelled in overseeing the efficient in-house delivery of civil engineering services, specifically within the clean and waste water networks, encompassing both planned and reactive work streams.

We are proud to have created valuable partnerships with high-profile clients operating within the United Utilities and Severn Trent regions, working on consecutive Asset Management Plan (AMP) Frameworks.

Cara Utilities is proud to be an experienced and safety-conscious contractor, placing a strong emphasis on delivering quality outcomes. Our commitment to stakeholder satisfaction is unwavering, as we understand the importance of meeting their needs and expectations. Operating within a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, we have honed our ability to respond swiftly to evolving demands.

Our comprehensive range of services encompasses various specialisms using techniques such as Open Cut Excavations, Shaft/Caison Sinking, Guided Auger Bore (GAB) and Directional Drill Installations.

We specialise in live online sewer replacement, executing seamless replacement of sewer systems whilst they remain in operation, minimising disruption to the asset owner. Additionally, we have experience installing large-diameter pump mains, ensuring efficient water transportation within networks.

Cara Utilities is also experienced in constructing Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) and Insitu chambers. These essential structures are vital in managing wastewater flow during heavy rainfall and mitigating potential environmental hazards. We can also carry out clean water main replacements, replacing outdated or damaged water mains with modern, durable alternatives with minimal disruption.

Another critical aspect of our service portfolio is pipeline rehabilitation, where we use advanced techniques to restore the functionality and integrity of existing pipelines. This helps to extend their lifespan, reducing the need for costly replacements. We can also carry out valve and chamber upgrades, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of utility infrastructure.
