The groundworks package for this particular contract involved a wide range of problems that required experience and planning to overcome.

The sub-structure design incorporated an intricate insulation detail, the outfall sewer had to be constructed using micro bore tunnelling, and no dig techniques had to be employed so as to not disturb existing tree roots on site.

This together with extreme programme and logistical restrictions were all overcome.
