Following the overwhelming success of last years’ ‘Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge’ Neil Allen alongside the same team will be completing the ‘Lakes – 3 over 3,000ft’ challenge, which includes Scafell, Skidaw and Helvellyn, in aid of Incubabies, the Arrowe Park Neonatal Unit.
The unit looks after premature and poorly babies with infants coming from as far as Birmingham, Cumbria and the Isle of Man. The unit is desperately in need of further space to provide families with a more comfortable experience during their time in the unit.
Plans are in place for a new unit with more space around the incubators enabling parents to hold their babies in a large relaxing chair, provide storage for their clothes and an area for the parents to gather themselves and grab that much needed cup of tea, as well as much more.
