Cara Brickwork were Winners once again at a Wate’s Football Tournament which organised by Colum McHugh – Wate’s QS in aid of the ‘Princess Trust’.
The tournament was played at the “Power League” in Manchester on the 26th November and consisted of 20 teams of sub-contractors and Wate’s themselves.
It was played as a league system with the top two teams going through to a quarter/semi/final which Cara Brickwork faced Horbury.
Cara Brickwork won the game.
Cara won the tournament even without a regular goalkeeper so change’s had to be made to which lad went in goal every game so makes our win even more prudent as all the other teams had goalkeepers..!!
Joey Allen MD (who was at the match cheering the lads on) stated:-
“I think what was really good to see was the spirit of our young lads as all of them are apprentice bricklayers and a couple who have come up through the apprentice ranks and are now bricklayers.!!”
“Plus a mention should go to the Manager and his Assistant for pulling it all together……………Well done lads”
Well Done to All in Winning the ‘Princess Trust Football Tournament’ and bringing home the Cup
