Cara Brickwork is delighted to have been awarded the masonry package from Linear Design and Construct to work on Trafford Gardens (formerly known as Botanical Gardens) in Manchester 👏
@tgarchitects originally designed the £32 million development. It is now a @JDAArchitects scheme and it comprises of two buildings, one with six storeys, and the other offering 11-13 storeys with 149 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses 🧱🦺
Cara Brickwork are set to start works in late February for a 50 week duration.
The plans include the redevelopment of one of the Victorian villas on site into 3,600 sqft offices, with the other buildings demolished, making way for the new-build elements 🏗
Botanical Gardens falls within Trafford Council’s Civic Quarter masterplan.
Neil Allen, Managing Director at Cara Brickwork, said: “We have been involved in this scheme for more than two years at the early design and tender stage but unfortunately it faced some set backs, so it is great that Linear have decided to take this scheme on and ‘get the band back together.’ We are looking forward to working on this great designed scheme.”
