@russell_wbho has awarded Cara Brickwork the masonry package on the prestigious @themereresort.
The 157-acre resort located on the outskirts of Knutsford in Cheshire and overlooking Lake ‘The Mere’.
The project is scheduled for completion in Summer 2025 and the works involve the refurbishment of the existing hotel, the expansion of golf and conference areas, the modernisation of current guest rooms and the 1500m2 extension, which will accommodate a further 29 no. guest bedrooms.
The renovation project involves upgrading all 87 existing guest rooms and adding another 29 across the main building and a new build extension, bringing the total number of rooms to 116.
A new entrance and reception will be created in the main building, and new kitchens will be added.
The conference centre will be expanded with a two-storey extension and a new golf pavilion will be added to serve users of the 18-hole championship-level course. It will also be home to a new Peruvian restaurant.
Architect @Lrwarchitects has led the scheme’s design.
Work has already started on the substructure and overall duration will last for around 30 weeks. It will involve lots of art stone heads, cills, copings and features like the famous stone cupola’s all will be made to match the existing building 🏗
