CARA BRICKWORK LIMITED have been awarded the masonry package from Willmott Dixon on the new £25m Bolton College of Medical Sciences building.
The “first of its kind” facility is a transformational blueprint for training NHS staff across the country and will help to train 3,000 students a year when completed in 2024.
Cara was involved with Willmott Dixon at design stages in 2019 but the scheme was put on hold.
Now the revised scheme is fully ongoing with the steelwork already well underway and the brickwork looking to start mid-March and last for 20 weeks in total.
The entrance way has intricate ‘sawtooth’ brickwork detail as the main feature to the building which will look fantastic once built.
Cara shall be working alongside Bolton College to do work placements on site, along with giving our Bolton Brickwork apprentices chance to work on a local site to showcase their works.
Our managing Director Neil Allen will also be visiting the college to give talks to the apprentices.
