Willmott Dixon has appointed Cara the masonry package on a £6m school in Liverpool for children with special needs have been approved by the city council.


The school currently caters for 70 pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism. The new school will be able to accommodate 105 youngsters.


The school in Everton is due to open in September 2014 and will feature a hydrotherapy pool and rooms where physiotherapy and sensory support will be offered to support pupils from not just Liverpool, but also the wider city region.


Mouchel is the architect for Millstead, part of the Liverpool School Investment Programme, in which Mayor Cllr Joe Anderson has pledged to deliver at least 12 new schools.


This is the 3rd School for Willmott Dixon which shows a good working relationship between the 2 companies and keeps the regular local workforce on their doorstep.
