Whilst Cara Brickwork were recently working on ‘Boulevard Academy’ for Sewell Construction, we also teamed up with the main contractor to help build some blockwork planters at Ganton School.
Ganton School was first built in Springhead Avenue, Hull and opened in 1978. It was designed to cater for pupils and students from Hull and the East Riding who had severe or complex learning difficulties.
Cara Brickwork Site Manager Ronnie Van Tillburg & some of CBL’s own bricklayers, spent a day with some of the pupils at the school setting out the planters. Then in May, the first course of blocks was completed with the help of the pupils, before Ronnie returned later in July to finish the wall and fit the copings.
Cara Brickwork’s Wakefield Director Marco Ercoli said “‘I was very pleased that Cara Brickwork could help out with this very worthwhile project that will provide some colourful outside space for the kids to enjoy”
