CARA BRICKWORK LIMITED are delighted to welcome two new Apprentice Bricklayers to the team.
Cara & Willmott Dixon recently ran a week’s ‘work trial’ for 5 students from Preston College. After all students had completed their trial, Cara Directors and Managers sat down and assessed the students attitude, time keeping and ability to work with the team. They then chose two of the students to start on our Apprenticeship Programme.
After being successfully chosen, Nathan Dootson and Matthew Newton both recently started working on our Durton Grange site for Willmott Dixon. They are completing their studies at Preston College.
Contracts Director Neil Allen, who started as an Apprentice Bricklayer himself, said “Well done to Nathan and Matthew for being successful on their work trial, they showed that they were keen and willing to listen to what the manager/bricklayers were saying to them. The bricklayers whom they worked with were very complimentary about most of the students but said that Nathan and Matthew shone more than the others”
Keep up the good work lads, hopefully this is the start of a successful career in the industry!
