ISO Audit Results in New Standards Achieved

by | Feb 27, 2017

Following a 4 day ISO audit, involving the new ISO Standards for 9001 (Quality) and 14001 (Environmental), and a surveillance audit for OHSAS 18001 (H&S), Cara have successfully achieved / retained all 3 accreditations.

Our ISO auditor Helen Brodie visited a Cara Construction and Cara Brickwork site and audited our Quality, Environmental and H&S management systems at Victoria House and didn’t raise any major or minor non-conformities – raising only 4 observations – which is a great result.

Thanks to everyone that helped us achieve this, with particular thanks to:

• The Cara Brickwork site team at Wilburn Basin and Site Manager Nick Mather.
• The Cara Construction site team at Walney – Heysham and Cara Construction Site Managers Colin O’Gara and Mark Wynn.
• Cara head office yard staff and plant manager John Joyce.

The new ISO standards require a clear demonstration of evidence showing commitment from Director level, with Group Director Paddy Grady being instrumental in overseeing the process.
