Morgan Sindall Construction has appointed Cara Brickwork to deliver the masonry package for ‘Plot C2’ – the third residential development for English Cities Fund 🎉
This impressive 23-storey building will feature 196 apartments on the River Irwell’s picturesque banks. Altogether, over 800 new apartments are transforming Salford Central into a thriving hub of modern living.
The new building will offer 3,800 sq ft of internal amenities, including a gym, co-living and working spaces, plus an 1,850 sq ft roof terrace on the twenty-second floor. Designed by Hawkins/Brown, the project will bring a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments to the area.
Salford Central is already a dynamic community with world-class workspaces, over 1,000 homes, and a vibrant role in the growth of Salford’s economy. This project is set to diversify the area further, offering various housing options – from townhouses to luxury apartments – and providing long-term employment opportunities.
We’re proud to secure another collaboration with Morgan Sindall after successfully completing projects like Islington Wharf Phase 4, New House Academy, Pear Tree Academy, and UCLan School of Veterinary Medicine. Work on the masonry package will begin in early September.
Managing Director Neil Allen shared, “We are delighted to be awarded this contract, having built a solid relationship with the site team on previous projects. We understand their expectations and are confident we can deliver. We’ve already been involved with Build Salford through a ‘Have a Go Day’ on-site and are excited to continue supporting local talent. We’ve lined up one of our apprentices to work on this scheme as it kicks off.”
