#NAW2023 National Apprentice Week @ Cara Brickwork
Last week was National Apprentice Week and as a company we pride ourselves on bringing through the right number and quality of apprentices every year.
Pictured below are of all our 1st year Apprentices/Trainees in which we have taken on from colleges all over the North West & Yorkshire.
This week also saw our Managing Director Neil Allen talk to 60 students from Wirral Met College in the Knowledge quad at WGC Birkenhead. During this talk he gave all the FE learners advice on what an employer looks for in potential apprentices, what it means to be an apprentice and the potential futures it can lead to (as he was once a bricklaying apprentice).
Neil quoted “It is great to see so many young people interested in coming into the construction industry, whether that be into Bricklaying, Joinery, M&E or any other trade as construction needs the youth to come through to keep the industry and the country on its feet. It is just a pity that I can’t take all the Bricklaying students on as they all seemed very keen.”
“I have tried to get around most of sites this week to see our apprentices and chat to them personally. We are extremely proud of every single apprentice here at Cara and wish them luck on their journey.”
