Kings Dock Car Park, Liverpool

This was a trio of contracts for the Cara Group with Construction, Concrete Flooring and Brickwork all being awarded respective contracts from Willmott Dixon. This worked extremely well when it came to coordination issues in that the whole team worked together as one company. See below the works carried out by each company within the Cara Group.

Cara Construction
Construction of large pile caps/ground beams and 5no lift core bases; together with main and internal drainage and ducting. Construction of Ground Floor Slab

Cara Flooring
The work comprised 33,500m2 Reinforced Concrete Power Floated Floor Slabs laid to falls, complete with the construction of all RC access ramps to all 7 levels including the construction of Reinforced Concrete Upstand, Walls and Kerbs.

Cara Brickwork
Internal Paint grade Blockwork to pillars and internal offices, Plant rooms and Substation. External brickwork which blended in with the natural surroundings of the Heritage buildings in and around the Albert Docks.

The Whole Team worked well with Willmott Dixon and won several Quality and Safety Awards on the scheme which shows testament to the Ethos which is instilled into the company from the Directors down.
