Way back in April 2009 CARA commenced on site with an enormous task ahead. The challenging programme for the structural foundations was the first test.
Once achieved, with great efforts from all the formwork team, the scene had been set for more demanding schedules throughout the construction period. The site team endured a particularly tough winter period but never lost faith and maintained good spirits throughout the contract. CARA’s site team worked particularly well with the client, KIER North West, Woodchurch High School Management and local residents receiving a number of accolades.
Due to the duration of the contract numerous SHEQ audits were carried out by KIER North West & CARA respectively without a single non-conformity being raised.
September 6th 2010 saw the transfer of 1,500 pupils from the old campus into the New Woodchurch High School. A defect free handover was achieved.
