Our very own Neil Allen is taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for local charity, Incubabies. The charity has been established to assist with raising funds to build a new extension to the intensive care unit at Arrow Park Hospital.
Incubabies was brought to Neil’s attention by a close family friend when their daughter, Penny, was rushed to the Neo Natal Unit and had to stay there for 6 weeks. Having visited the ward and the nurses who helped Penny, Neil signed up to the 3 Peaks Challenge to assist with fundraising for the new unit.
I am sure you will join us in wishing Neil good luck with this challenge which will see him take on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, covering 24 miles in less than 12 hours.
